Talent Development

At the heart of M6 Theatre is our commitment to support the future of the Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA) sector, particularly in celebrating new and underrepresented voices.

We provide regular opportunities to support artists and can also offer:

  • Mentorship
  • Marketing and Fundraising Advice
  • Rehearsal/Office Space
  • Seed Funding
  • DYCP support

Recent projects have included:

  • A new, fully funded commission for Move Manchester to create a dance performance for children and their families.
  • Providing match funding and rehearsal space to support Youth Theatre alumni Sam Jamil in developing his new play, Ward 76.
  • Mentorship and R&D space for Leah Wild to develop her new musical for young audiences.

Have an idea of your own?

If you’re bursting with an idea for a new project, please get in touch! We are particularly interested in working with underrepresented artists and those from Rochdale Borough.
