New Managing Director

M6 Theatre has appointed Laura Rodwell as its new Managing Director. She joins us from Oldham Coliseum Theatre where she worked as Head of Marketing and Communications.

Laura replaces Deborah Palmer (also joint CEO) who is leaving the company to take semi-retirement.

Born and raised in Rochdale, one of Laura’s first theatrical memories is watching an M6 show at her local primary school. She said:

“I’ve always really admired M6 Theatre and it means a lot to work in this industry in the place where I was born and still live. I’m passionate about the difference arts and culture can make in people’s lives and I’ve seen the impact in places where it’s needed most time and time again. To be part of a team that makes such an impact in my own hometown is incredibly exciting and special.

“My hope for M6 is that we continue to inspire children through theatre and bring the best of Rochdale to the rest of the country.”

Laura joins the company at a pivotal moment for the borough with priority place and levelling up sparking new conversations and a new commitment to areas that have traditionally been underserved.
