Create Rochdale CPD Session

Theme: Young People, Film & Media

Tuesday 3 February, 1pm – 4pm at Hollingworth Lake  Sailing Club

FREE of charge for primary and secondary school teachers, or anyone working with children and young people, in education or in the creative sector.

Rochdale is increasingly being used as a location for film, TV and other productions. In this session we will hear about opportunities for young people to get involved with film and how film making can support school priorities.

We will be joined by Rochdale Film Office, Rochdale Development Agency, M6 Theatre Company, Breaking Barriers and Hopwood Hall College. A practical workshop with local filmmaker Andy Hirst will explore tips and inspiration for delivering your own film projects.

1pm – 1.30pm Lunch and networking

1.30pm – 1.40pm Welcome and Introductions

1.40pm – 2.50pm Presentations followed by Q+A/panel discussion (30 mins)

2.50pm – 3.00pm Break

3.00pm – 3.50pm Practical workshop

3.50pm Wrap up and feedback
