Participation Manager

We are looking for an excellent part-time Participation Manager on a fixed-term contract until July 2025.

In this new role we are looking for someone who has skills as a facilitator, theatre maker, director and project manager.

The participation manager will be responsible for delivering our weekly Year 4-6 and Year 11-13 Youth Theatre groups. They will also be responsible for managing and delivering our Curriculum for Life digital programme in local secondary schools and community settings.

The right person for this role will be engaging and dynamic with excellent communication, problem solving and listening skills. We’re looking for someone who really cares about what young people have to say/want to explore and is able to support them to develop that into a piece of theatre while making sure that all participants are included and having fun.

We are particularly interested in meeting candidates who feel their voice is currently under-represented in the arts.

Stage 1 interview: Tuesday 19 September, interview in the afternoon and delivering a workshop in the evening with Year 11-13 Youth Theatre.

Stage 2 interview: Wednesday 27 September, delivering a workshop in the late afternoon with Year 4-6 Youth Theatre.

Stage 1 and stage 2 interviews will take place at our Studio Theatre in Rochdale.

Please note, we will make a contribution to candidate’s travel to interview (equal to off-peak rail fare).
