Creative CPD Programme
Next academic year, M6 Theatre Company and Create Rochdale partners will deliver a CPD programme for professionals delivering cultural education in Rochdale. The programme will explore how creativity and culture can be embedded throughout the curriculum (from early years to GCSE), and we need your help to shape it!
Are you a professional working in Rochdale or Greater Manchester either in culture or education with a case study to share? Could you deliver a practical workshop or activity which can support teachers and schools to embed creativity in their curriculum?
Or are you a teacher or youth support worker who would like to explore ways creativity can support your practice? If so, we’d love to hear from you.
Some of the themes we’re looking to explore are:
• Oracy and Communication
• Engaging families through creativity
• Environment and Sustainability
• Mental health
• Social cohesion
• Diversifying the Curriculum
• Access and Inclusion for SEND children
• Creativity and Nature for Early Years
• Creativity in Careers
If you have ideas for the above topics, or alternative themes to be explored at future CPD events, if you have a particular creative project you’d like to share with local schools or are an educationalist who would like to know more about the creative support available around a certain subject or curriculum area, please get in touch with us. There is budget available to support artists and organisations to deliver presentations and facilitate workshops.
Email [email protected] with the subject title “CPD Programme” by Monday 30 June. Please provide your name, job title / organisation, contact details and a brief overview of your idea or suggestion, and we will get back to you.
